BROCKTON — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a person of interest related to a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist seriously injured.

2020欧洲杯预选赛赛程"Detectives viewed surveillance video from several area businesses and are trying to identify the person shown in the photo," said police spokesman Darren Duarte. "Detectives would like to speak with the individual regarding the incident."

A pedestrian was crossing Oak Street on a mountain bike when a dark-colored minivan — police say either gray or blue — struck the man and kept driving east.

Witnesses told police the minivan was driving without its headlights on.

The victim, later identified by friends and coworkers as 43-year-old Shawn Collier, an employee of The Original Tommy Doyle's Pub & Grill, suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was hospitalized at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton following the collision.

"The Brockton police will guard and protect the identities of those who wish to help," Duarte said.
